Are We In the Age Of Persuasion? Ask Terry O’Reilly Your Question

We’re putting the final touches on AdHack Live Episode #4: Terry O’Reilly’s Age of Persuasion.

We go live tomorrow, Wednesday, December at 5 pm EST / 2 pm PST and we’re in the final steps — collecting our questions, setting up the shoot, filling the flask.

And we wanted to put out a call for questions. Do you (yes, you!) have a question for Terry O’Reilly?

The Age of Persuasion radio show has been a huge hit in its 3 seasons on the air.

Now the Age of Persuasion book is in bookstores, collecting the finest anecdotes, advertising history, strategy and tactics from our very own times — what Terry convincingly calls “The Age of Persuasion.”

Surely you’ve got something caught in your craw about the world of advertising.

Tell us. We’ll put the question to Terry and you’ll get your answer.

Craig Riggs asks:

You talk a lot about getting good creative work approved and into market. Can you elaborate on your experience in how to get great creative work into market? Does a platform like AdHack provide a way to get more work into market or for advertisers to take more, smaller risks?

Craig Dunn wonders:

With advertising ‘embedded’ into everything.. cell phones, TV, internet, highways, movies… do you feel that advertisers/marketers have a responsibility to offer some level of entertainment to the audience within the advertising.  (Referencing Age of Persuasion episode about Highway signs that didn’t “keep the promise” of offering quality entertainment in exchange for exposure to ads.)

Here’s my question for Terry O’Reilly:

Is it even possible to be unique any more? It feels like we’ve seen everything and that most of what we see is just repackaged. What constititutes a new fresh idea?
