Sell Your Videos and Market Yourself on YouTube

YouTube: a great place to watch videos and a great place to get attention.

But a lousy place to sell any videos or get yourself hired.

Or is it?

We noticed lots of AdHack users were using YouTube to host their videos. And we wondered to ourselves: can we help ad creators do a better job of selling their ads and getting themselves hired?

Not to give anything away, but we answered, Yes.

Yes we can help our Ad Creators rock harder.

So we create a 5-step tutorial to sell your videos and get yourself hired on YouTube.

Screenshots, step-by-step instructions, witty asides — it’s got everything you want except ice cream.

Most importantly, it’s got a quick and simple way to help you turn the views you get on YouTube into tangible value for your creative business.

And best of all, following our tutorial doesn’t mean you have to upload a new video and lose all your views, comments and ranking.

Edit the existing video and you’re in business.

I followed the tutorial for my own videos. It took about 5 minutes to do the first one and about 2 minutes to do each following one.

I got faster pretty quick.

You will too. Start now:

Some of these names have Ads created for them. Each of those Ads are a sales opportunities.

But many of these names don’t have Ads created for them. Those are Ad sales opportunities we’re missing.

What can you do about it?

If you want to sell your work, here are some ideas to give it a chance to reach Ad Buyers.

  • Create an Ad for one of the names on this list.
  • If you have an Ad that could fit a name on this list, make sure it matches the search.
  • Fill in the full Ad Brief with your Ads and make sure you list the possible brands, products and companies that would use your Ads.

And what can we (AdHack) do about it?

Since we’re in this with Ad Creators, we want to make it work better. Here are some ways we’re working on to do just that.

  • We can make sure we keep our finger on the pulse of searches with monitoring.
  • We can make it easier for Ad Buyers to commission new Ads when they don’t find any results for their searches.
  • We can keep Ad Creators updated on searches in real time so they can act on the information.

Anything else?

Those are the things we’re working on today. If you have any other ideas, let us know by hitting reply or employing our trusty contact page.

Like we say, we only win if we can help our Ad Creators and Ad Buyers win.

And we’re determined to win. Come on along!

To Make You a Better Creative Person

Originally, I called this section To Toot Our Own Blog Horn.

We post to the blog to help everyone try to be a better creative person – Ad Buyers and Ad Creators alike.

And here are some posts that have helped us be better creative people.

Any of those help? Leave us a comment. Reply to us.
