Bridging Media conference audio sessions

This past weekend I participated in the Bridging Media conference. So what’s that about?

Bridging media is an event designed to open the channels of communication between the broadcast and digital media communities. We aim to increase an understanding of our respective industries and strengthen our approach to building multi-platform projects.

The ebullient Robert Ouimet recorded the sessions and has posted them on the At Large Media website.

The session I participated in as a panelist was called Monetize, Monetize, Monetize. Here’s the audio of the session and here’s a blog summary from Miss 604.

During our session 3 specific articles were mentioned as fundamental to understand the web, how to make sense of its rules and how to operate according to those rules.

  1. The Economy of Ideas by John Perry Barlow
  2. The Next Economy of Ideas also by John Perry Barlow
  3. Better Than Free by Kevin Kelly

All three are required reading for anyone trying to understand how the web affects their world. It is near impossible to discuss the web without understanding its structure and constitution.

Thanks to my fellow panelist (Jennifer Ouano, Jordan Behan, Monica Moore and moderator Brian Schecter) and the organizers, Megan Cole and Erica Hargreave for a great day!
